Computer Architecture and Nerds
Really am looking forward to the class. Never had too much time to open the inside of a computer before--neat assignment. I really enjoyed the nerds movie. I was disappointed that Anthony Edwards and that Ogre guy weren't in it though. It's funny watching Jobs and Gates and thinking back to college and how the Computer Science people all looked like them. This stuff really is amazing though. It is interesting to think how different a perspective toward computers my children will grow up with compared to me.

I agree with your comments on the movie - pretty interesting stuff. I'm kind of a documentary nerd myself and though it was very well done.
I agree with your comments on Jobs and Gates. It is funny to hear how others close to them view their existence and how they are both kind of tyrants to work for. What is funny is that when they interviewed Jobs he was removed from Apple at that point and felt free to comment on the company and others companies at that. I loved his comment about Microsoft and how they lack any soul.
